This weekend I found myself watching the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear. While I think the whole thing, with the exception of the boring Mythbusters part(still love those guys though), was a solid event, one particular piece really stood out. Reverend Sir Doctor Stephen T. Colbert DFA's poem, read by Sam Waterston, was probably one of the greatest pieces of poetry I have ever heard. I wish I had Jack McCoy to read that to me every night before bed. Sure John Stewart's keynote speech was on point and really helped explain just what the whole rally was about. Yeah, the jam session with Cat Stevens, Ozzy Osbourne, and The O'Jays was awesome. Nothing stands up to the lyrical wordsmith genius poem though. It will live on in the pantheon of epic literature for all eternity.
Update: For some reason the sound isn't synced perfectly. I swear fixing it is a top priority for me. In the meantime, get over it; it's not really a big deal.
