Banksy is up for an Oscar for his documentary Exit Through The Gift Shop. I was incredibly excited to see that movie and was only slightly disappointed afterwards. It's certainly worthy of its nomination though, and I would like to see it win. There are rumors that he would be willing to accept the award in person, even though he never shows his face in public. I'd love for that to happen just because seeing a dude roll up and collect an award while wearing a mask would make the Academy Awards at least watchable.
Two of I'm sure many Banksy pieces have already popped up in Hollywood in anticipation of the awards. The first is called CrayolaShooter and is on the back of the Urban Outfitters in Westwood.
It actually came to my attention from Lauren Conrad of all people. I don't have a name on the second, but it features a childhood favorite of mine, Charlie Brown. Click on both to make them full size.
Update: Banksy struck again.
