DJ Steve Porter Retains My Sheen Interest

Update: After watching Sheen's Ustream show, I'm officially done with him. This remix is the last good thing to ever involve F-18 Sheen until he shoots Hot Shots 3.

I'm pretty well over the Charlie Sheen experiment, but I've already written an entire post about it for Dahl.com (read it here), so instead I will just leave you with this tremendous remix. DJ Steve Porter is becoming a bit of an obsession for me. I've been listening to his stuff for a year+ now and it never gets old. All of his mixes don't hit the mark, but a disproportionately large number do.

George Carlin Gets Remixed By Steve Porter

It's no secret that I'm a sucker for a DJ Steve Porter remix, but the absurd level of auto-tune usage in America had begun to turn me off to the whole genre (not really, I don't know how to quit you). Most notably, I commented during the Oscars that the surprise video segment triple stamped auto-tune's death certificate. Only a day later though, Steve Porter resurrects my love for all things remix by dropping a little George Carlin knowledge on us. Porter doesn't use a ton of auto-tune in his mixes, and given that he's a DJ first and remixer second, they always have a good stand-alone beat to them. Add to that some great content and you end up reeling me right back in. Plus, he retweeted me when I posted this yesterday, and who doesn't love a retweet?

Olivia Munn Back When Only The Nerds Knew Her

Olivia Munn seems to be just about everywhere now. She's gracing the pages of just about every men's magazine. She has a new show, and I'm sure she plays on loop in many a man's dreams. I don't know exactly what caused her explosion onto the scene, but I can't help but think of this Steve Porter video from back when she was on G4 and was just queen of the nerds.

There's a lot to digest in this video. First off, yes that is Kel Mitchell from Keenan and Kel. Clearly he is doing really well for himself. 2nd, did you notice them doing the slap-chop drop? For the clever students in the room, you'll remember that the Slap Chop remix is another one of DJ Steve Porter's songs. Making a remix in which another one of your remixes is referenced? That's level two thinking if I've ever seen it. And finally, a lot of people slam O.Munn for not being that hot (jerks). I don't care where you think she lands on the Scoville scale, you can't argue that she isn't sexy.

Ray Lewis: What Time Is It - By DJ Steve Porter

DJ Steve Porter has been doing quite a bit of work with ESPN recently. He did a handful of videos for the NBA playoffs, and now he's done a couple NFL videos. The most recent one premiered today on Sunday NFL Countdown and is Ray Lewis dominating the world. He took clips from the interviews and from games in which he was miked up. It's no secret that I love remixes, especially ones by Steve Porter.

Yap yap yap yap. The bottomline is you got to buckle up the chin strap.




What's the best part of this remix? It gave me the excuse I needed to post a video that's been constantly popping into my head for no reason the past 2 weeks. In a heated exchange, Lieutenant Dan is instructing William Wallace that he wants money. Instead of asking how much, Riggs just keeps yelling at Mac Taylor to give him back his son. I don't see what the big issue is. A cash for kid exchange seems like it's about as simple as can be.

MICHAEL MCDONALD: I LOVE LESBIANS (STEVE PORTER)

I haven't seen Michael McDonald in a long time. I used to love watching him on Mad TV. I was too young to really get most of the references being made on SNL at the time, so I stuck with Mad because there stuff was completely irrelevant, just pure entertainment. Well, I'm glad to see McDonald back, and I'm happy to hear that he really loves lesbians. He was the latest to get the DJ Steve Porter treatment.

DJ STEVE PORTER POPCORN READY

DJ Steve Porter is back with a few new videos. If you don't know who he is by now, you obviously don't frequent The Skinny. Anyone who watches football knows that the duo of Ochocinco & T.O. will make for some great highlights plenty of lowlights. These two are ridiculous seperate, but together I have a feeling it will be explosive. In the words of Terrell Owens, "Get your popcorn ready!"
