If you are like me, you thought the halftime show of the Super Bowl was pretty terrible. I'm even one of the few people who actually like the Black Eyed Peas and their absurdly repetitive songs. I get their place and purpose, and find myself enjoying them. The halftime show though was an absolute abortion of entertainment. Only one of those songs was from the past 6 months, and they murdered Sweet Child O Mine, making it so that I can never listen to it again. Usher was really the only decent part, and he didn't even sing. I think he refused to out of spite for having to play second fiddle to the pop machine.
And then there's Michael Jackson's halftime show. The minute and a half he spent standing still was better than this year's entire performance. Literally...he just stood there. I'd skip from the 30 second mark up to the 2 minute mark unless you are into that sort of thing. Michael Jackson is the man/child. No halftime act could ever surpass this one...unless they bring in the Brazilian MJ.
